President Museveni applauds former Works Minister,Nasasira for spearheading road construction
President Yoweri Museveni has applauded the former Works and Transport Minister, John Nasasira for spearheading the construction of the Lyantonde – Kazo – Ibanda road that has been extended all the way to Fort Portal in Kabarole District thereby easing transport in the area, adding that plans are in advanced stages for the construction of the Kazo – Nyakariro – Kabagole – Kyegegwa – Hapuyo road.
President Museveni made the remarks during the give-away (Okuhingira) ceremony of Juliana Nasasira, daughter to Nasasira at the weekend at their home in Bugarihe village, Kazo County.
A number of dignitaries including Prime Minister, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, Chief Justice, Bart Katureebe, Ministers; like ICT and National Guidance minister Frank Tumwebaze and Minister for Karamoja Affairs who is also the Ibanda south MP;Eng.John Byabagambi as well as other Members of Parliament, attended the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Rt. Rev. Steven Namanya, North Ankole Diocese bishop, who noted that family is the first institution established by God, strongly appealed to youth to invite God in their relationships.
