Easter Message: Archbishop Lwanga Calls for Sustained Security
The Archbishop of Kampala Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, who is also the Chairperson of the Uganda Joint Christian Council, has delivered his Easter Message, decrying the recent sky rocketing murders and abductions in the country.
In his Easter Message delivered at his office , in Rubaga Archbishop Dr Lwanga urged government to pay more attention to people's needs ,especially security, saying the level at which innocent people are being abducted and killed has become unspeakable .
He stresses that government should provide the necessary resources to strengthen the security of the country especially the criminal investigation arm in order to curb down the activities of criminal networks as well as bringing offenders to book at all levels.
Asides from the insecurity concerns, the Man of God also appealed to Ugandans to fight against all forms of domestic violence and instability, citing that Christians are today faced with a challenge of building peace, faith, love and hope as well as discipline in their families and communities.
Archbishop Lwanga further highlighted the need for Christians to beware of false prophets and pastors and thus be careful and analytical while in certain churches.
