Mayors' Week: Ibanda Municipality Mayor,roots for tree planting

Ibanda Municipality Mayor, Deusdedit Murinde has called upon people in Ibanda Municipality and district at large to embrace tree planting so as to protect and keep the environment green.

Addressing listeners of Rwenzori fm Eiraka Radio on talk show last night, Mulinde said that all people in Ibanda district should take up the responsibility of promoting good sanitation, environment and security in the area.

On the issue of water scarcity and cleanliness, Murinde said that he repaired all boreholes in the municipality that were in poor state during the Mayor’s week as the people await the intervention of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation.

In the same vein, Ibanda Municipality town clerk ,Justine Barekye Murinzi noted that for the town to be developed , people ought to know that it is the responsibility of everyone to promote sanitation and security.

She also asked people with undeveloped plots and incomplete buildings around town to develop and complete them in order to curb insecurity.
