Kamwenge: 50 year old man arrested for allegedly defiling step daughter

Police in Kamwenge district is holding a man in his 50’s for allegedly defiling his step daughter.

The suspect has been identified as Mutabazi Christopher a resident of Nyarurambi B in Nyarurambi parish, Nyabbani Sub County , Kitagwenda County.

It is alleged that on Friday when the daughter got an epilepsy attack and fell down, Christopher Mutabazi seized the opportunity to have canal knowledge with her.

According to the LC1 Chairperson Nyarurambi B ,Christopher Bamwenda , when the suspect learnt that residents had known about the incident, he fled to Kabambiro Sub-County where he was arrested from.

Speaking to our reporter, the OC Rwenjaza police post Benson Babikora however says the victim is denying allegations of having canal knowledge with her step father; instead it is the locals who insist they saw him.

Babikora says investigations into the matter have kicked off, adding that upon completion, the suspect will be arraigned in court to answer charges of aggravated defilement.
