Experts warn that Western and Elgon Regions To See More Floods, Landslides

As the rainy season continues , Ugandans have been warned of likely occurrence of Floods and Landslides especially in south western, western, central and Mt. Elgon regions.

According to the Uganda National Integrated Multi Hazard Early Warning System March update this continuing rain season is likely to be associated with several disasters.

Now, mountainous districts officials are warned and requested to be more vigilant during heavy rains.

Other disasters to expect include; flooding in Kampala, Lightning around the Lake Victoria ,Malaria, Cholera and Typhoid fever.
