Kamwenge: Over 70 boda-boda cyclists respond to traffic rules and regulations , secure driving permi
Over 70 boda-boda cyclists in Kamwenge district have responded to traffic rules and regulations by securing driving permits among other safety requirements. This follows the ongoing operation in Kamwenge district of impounding all motorcycles without insurance fee, driving permits, helmets among other road safety requirements.
In an interview with our reporter, the officer in charge of traffic attached to Kamwenge police station AIP, Richard Twebaze noted that over seventy riders have responded to the traffic call where as others are in still processing.
Twebaze is now appealing the general public to adhere and heed to traffic rules and regulations for their lives’ safety.
The ongoing country wide traffic operations follow presidential criticism over the behavior of taxi and boda-boda men in the city accusing them of scaring away investors in the country.
