206 Army Officers Passed out at Bihanga Military Training School
The commandant of Kabamba Military Training School, Brigadier Sunday Deus has asked army officers to always distance themselves from politics, saying that the army is neutral and is not driven by any political party or political leader.
Brigadier Sunday was yesterday speaking as chief guest at Bihanga army training school at the pass out ceremony of 206 army officers who had completed the course of platoon commander.
According to Brigadier Sunday, the army is a force which is meant to keep peace and not take sides.
The training of these army officers lasted for four months and was for officers on the rank of lieutenant and captain. Among the graduands, 192 were male while 14 of them were female officers.
Meanwhile, Brigadier James Odesi , the commandant of Bihanga military training school here in Ibanda, said the training was meant to sharpen officers in different aspects including competent platoon commanders.
Brigadier James Odesi also thanked the officers for being cooperative during the course of their training.
