North West Ankole Diocese set to establish more skills’ training institutions
North West Ankole Diocese in Ibanda District has embarked on establishing different skills’ training institutions in the Diocese in a move aimed at imparting practical skills and promoting development, especially among the youth.
According to Rev. Colleb Musinguzi, the Diocesan education Secretary, the creation of vocational schools in the Diocese is aimed at improving skills, knowledge and discipline so as to compete with the current world job market.
Musinguzi further said that since many workers with practical skills have lost trust in their employers, they will as a Church work hard by not only giving practical skills but also teaching discipline since it is the core principal of success.
He thus appealed to parents in Ibanda and the neighboring Districts to embrace these institutions.
So far, the Vocational skills training institutions in the North West Ankole Diocese include; Ibanda Vocational skills Centre in Ibanda, North West Ankole, Muko Vocational Institute in Nkondo Parish – Nyabuhikye archdeaconry and another one which Rev.
