Minister Tumwiine takes oath

Newly Appointed Security Minister, General Elly Tumwine, has today taken oath, replacing Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde, who was recently dropped.

The ceremony attended by among others, the Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, Janet Museveni, Minister of Internal Affairs Jeje Odong, Minister of Public Service Muruli Mukasa, and Govt Chief Whip Ruth Nankabirwa, was presided over by President Museveni.

Speaking at the ceremony, Museveni tasked the security leadership to keep re-orienting their staff, and also work as a team.

He said, the security sector needs to keep up with advancements in technology, adding that, there is nothing that the Government cannot acquire, if it is important.
