Canon Johnson Baryantuma Munono, newly elected Diocese of Kigezi Head of Laity vows to serve diligen

Canon Johnson Baryantuma Munono, the Kabale University Secretary who is the newly elected Diocese of Kigezi Head of Laity, has welcomed the appointment, vowing to serve diligently for the betterment of the diocese.
Rev. Canon. Obed Turihohabwe , the Diocesan Secretary confirmed that Canon Munono was elected on 24th February 2018 during the Diocesan Synod that sat in the Synod hall at Rugarama hill.
Canon Johnson Baryantuma Munono replaces Canon Caleb Twinamatsiko who succumbed to diabetes last year.
Rt. Rev.Eng. George Bagamuhunda, Kigezi Diocese Bishop also appointed a new Diocesan council which he heads.
Some of the members of the council include ; Dr Kedress Turyagyenda, a commissioner in the Ministry of Education, Patrick Besigye Keihwa ; the Kabale LC5 chairman, Edison Bakiga the Deputy Head teacher Kigezi High school, Canon Grace Tindikahwa the Mothers Union Vice President of the Diocese of Kigezi and Paddy Mwesigye, a health worker at Kamukira health Centre IV.
