Police Reshuffle list out, Ibanda gets new DPC
New Inspector General of Police, Okoth Ochola has made changes in the police force commanders in different districts, regions and departments of the law enforcement body.
According to the new reshuffles, SSP Rogers Chebene , who has been in Buvuma is the now the new
Ibanda District Police Commander (DPC) .
SPs Edrisa Kyeyune and Jaffar magyezi have been taken to Kabalagala and Mbarara having completed their courses.
SP John Mwaule has been transferred from Human Resource Management to work as the DPC for Rukiga.
Didas Byraruhanga is the Kamwenge DPC after completing his course.
The new reshuffles, which follow the one of Sunday that Kayihura made before he was replaced also, indicate that Superintendent of Police (SP) Patrick Onyango is the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP), replacing SP Luke Owoyesigyire who has been the acting publicist.
Onyango, who has been working in the Press Unit of police, replaces Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Emilian Kayima, since position has been vacant from when Kayima was made police spokesman to replace Asan Kasingye.
The shake-up covers districts of Ibanda, Rukiga, Kasese, Ntungamo, Kamuli, Busia, Abim, Luweero, Kamwenge, Sheema, Mbarara, Masindi, Soroti, Ngora, Bukedi, Kamuli and Buvuma. Regions like Savannah, Wamala, Kampala Metropolitan area and various police departments have been affected as well.
