President Museveni promotes Kasirye Gwanga to Major General
President Museveni has promoted Kasirye Gwanga from the rank of brigadier to Major General.
He’s among the 1,384 officers and militants, promoted to various ranks by the Commander in Chief.
In the statement, the force’s spokesperson Brig Richard Karemire said, the president made the promotions on recommendation of the Commissions Board on 3rd March, 2018.
The most senior among the promoted officers are, Brigadier Kasirye Gwanga, promoted to Major General ahead of his scheduled retirement later this year, Brigadier Steven Rwabantu, promoted to Major General and appointed Deputy General Officer Commanding Reserves, and Colonel Charles Wacha, promoted to Brigadier and Director Human Rights.
The others are Colonel Charles Byanyima, the Commander Motorized Infantry Brigade- promoted to Brigadier, Colonel Henry Isoke, the Deputy Chief of Military Intelligence-promoted to Brigadier, Colonel James Nambale, the Adjutant at General Headquarters-promoted to Brigadier and Col Kagoro Asingura, the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs Legal Officer also promoted to Brigadier.
