Kisoro: Police arrests a 30-year-old man over the death of his two-month-old baby
Police in Kisoro is holding a 30-year-old man, in connection to the death of his two-month-old baby boy, who was hit on the ground on Wednesday, as he fought with his wife.
The suspect has been identified as Emmanuel Sabahutu, a resident of Gakoro Cell, Sooko parish of Muramba Sub County, Kisoro District, whereas his wife has been identified as Sarah Nyiramugisha, 26.
The police spokesperson for Kigezi region, Elly Maate, says, the baby was rushed to Mutorere Hospital with head injuries, until today when he died.
Maate says that, after the baby was pronounced dead, police immediately arrested Sabahutu, and he is being detained at Kisoro Central Police Station.
Maate also says that, locals from the area have already briefed police, on how Sabahutu would always harass and assault his wife and the baby, whenever he would get drunk.
He thus warns married couple to avoid domestic violence, but instead use relevant authorities for a possible solution, in case of any misunderstanding.
