Kasese: Government to build a one stop boarder post center at Mpondwe
The parliamentary committee of trade and tourism, has revealed plans by government to build a one stop boarder post center at Mpondwe, which borders Uganda and DRC in Kasese district.
State minister for cooperative Hon. Fredrick Guma Ngombi, who led the team on survey in Kasese told our reporter that, the Centre which will have Immigration, Revenue offices and an in built market, is aimed at improving trading relations with DRC, and improve the working condition of traders.
Arthur Kigozi, the in charge Mpondwe border post said that, the construction of the 14 million dollar Centre, will reduce on the traffic congestion, and delays in clearing of goods.
