Police in Gulu arrests a woman for masquerading as RDC
Police in Gulu is holding a woman for masquerading as the deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Kibaale district. Tracey Ajok was apprehended last night by the Gulu district chairperson, Martin Ojara Mapenduzi and the district National Resistance Movement-NRM party administrative secretary, George Ebola. Ajok's luck ran out when she contacted Mapenduzi claiming that she wants to discuss administrative issues with him. Mapenduzi narrates that Ajok has repeatedly called his phone for an appointment since February 27 during the Gulu district celebration of the NRM day. On Saturday he agreed to meet her at Gulu post office. Ajok was found in possession of a national identity card belonging to Everline Aromo, a resident of Kitgum district and several photos of Uganda People`s Defence Forces-UPDF officers. Gulu District Police Commander, Emmanuel Mafundo, confirmed the arrest, saying investigations are on-going to ascertain her exact identity and why she posed as a government official.
