Police in Ibanda swung into action today, arresting two middle aged men over their involvement in a violent demonstration, in protest of the poor state of the Epic -Soweto -Kyorora Market road.
Police in Ibanda district led by DPC Michael Akaturinda was this morning forced to use teargas and live bullets, to disperse the angry Business traders and residents of Bufunda division, in Ibanda Municipality.
The rowdy Business traders and residents, also accused Ibanda Municipal Clerk, Justine Barekye of what they called failure to perform her duties, thus leaving the roads to collapse.

They asked leaders to solicit five hundred shillings from area residents, just like they do with the garbage collection, to upgrade streets which are full of potholes.
