Women's Day: Mbarara Woman MP urges gov't to come up with measures to protect women's ri

As the country prepares to celebrate women's day on March-08 this year, the government is being asked to come up with measures to protect the rights of women.

Rosette Kazungu Mutambi , the Mbarara woman member of Parliament says much as women have achieved alot , there are still challenges affecting them.

She says that women's rights are still violated especially those living in rural areas, adding that this is mainly due to increased cases of domestic violence which have affected the development of families.

The legislator observes that government needs to come up with measures and implement them if rights of women are to be protected.
