South Western region UNATU Chairperson blames decline in performance on increasing Exam exams

The UNATU Chairperson for the South Western region, Alex Kwikiriza, has attributed the decline in performance, especially at advanced level of education, to the increasing leakage of exams.

In an exclusive interview with our reporter, Kwikiriza said that, students had remained with hopes of getting the exams before the final day, which created a lot of reluctance, hence failure.

Kwikiriza thus urged schools to desist from the growing habit of cheating exams.

The Uganda National Examinations Board, recently released the 2017 senior six exam results, indicating a general decline in performance of candidates, with fewer candidates having been able to obtain 3 principal passes.
