UNRA Warns Against Encroaching on Road Reserves

Uganda National Roads Authority has reiterated its call on people buying plots of land along the roads are being urged to be on the lookout for the road reserve area which belongs to the government.

Sarah Nduhukire, the road and safety officer at the Uganda national roads authority (UNRA) notes that many dubious people, especially, land and property dealers tend to sell off plots of land which are nearer to the roads without excluding road reserve which should be left free.

According to Nduhukire, every Ugandan buying a plot of land along the road must ensure to leave a space of about 15 metres from the middle of an already existing road for the road reserve
