Kyegegwa : Education Authorities vow to close all unlicensed schools

Education Authorities in Kyegegwa district have vowed all unlicensed schools which are operating illegally in the district.

The district Education Officer, Stephen Asiimwe Douglas disclosed this yesterday in an interview with our reporter.

According to Asiimwe Stephen, Ministry of education and sports banned unlicensed schools from operating with effect from this year, thus calling upon school directors to respect the directive.

He said, at least only 42 schools in the district from different sub-counties are licensed to operate and therefore appeals to all school directors without licenses, to secure them in order to avoid closure.
