Ibanda : District Chairperson asks locals to learn how to use loans for development ventures

The Ibanda District Vice Chairperson, Amon Mwijukye has asked residents of Ibanda Municipality to learn how to use loans for development ventures inorder to up lift their livelihoods.

While officiating the function to close the ‘’Giigahara Promotion’’ for ISSIA SACCO at Ibanda Kibubura Integrated playgrounds yesterday, Amon Mwijukye challenged Ugandans to ensure that they acquire loans for development purposes.

He further warned SACCO members to avoid extravagant spending but instead develop a saving culture.

The 3 months’ promotion which that started in November 2017 saw different SACCO members rewarded with prizes including; Cows, goats, water tanks, water pumps, umbrellas etc.

ISSIA SACCO General Manager , Felix Mugisha, told our reporter that the promotion was meant to give back to clients.
