Hundreds of mourners throng Rushoroza Cathedral to bid farewell to fallen Nyakishenyi Priest


Rubanda East Member of Parliament, Henry Musasizi has appealed to Ugandans to fight for positive legacies while still living.

The legislator made the appeal today at the burial of the late former Curate of Nyakishenyi Parish in Rukungiri district, Fr. Bonifance Katatika whom he described as a humble man of God whose Character was admirable and ought to be emulated.

Hundreds of mourners thronged Rushoroza Cathedral in Kabale municipality to bid farewell to the late Fr. Katatika who died on Sunday after battling serious injuries he sustained in a motor accident in March last year.

A number of mourners described the late as a committed servant of God who cared about the welfare of Christians he served.

Kabale Diocesan Bishop, Calistus Rubaramira described Katatika as a passionate servant of God whom was dedicated to God’s ministry.

Fr. Katatika was ordained a priest on 24th August, 1997. Before his death , he had served at Rutooma parish, Nyarushanje parish, Rukore parish and Christ the King parish.
