Mbarara Municipality Speaker Acid Attack Suspects Denied Bail
Court in Mbarara has denied acid suspects a bail and further adjourned their case to 7th of March this year.
Emanuel Mbine 22, a crime preventer in Katojo cell, Nyakayojo, mbarara district, and Don Kizitto Baryayesima of Ishongoro town council are alleged to been in connection on an acid attack on Nyamityobora B ward councilor.
The two suspects appeared before grade one magistrate , Samuel Twakire who denied them a bail after state attorney Anthony Kurigishule asked court to dismiss their bond.
Kurigishure told court that the sureties come from different district and could not remind the suspects to appear in court in the needed time.
He also says that the two suspects committed big offence which attracts death sentence and once they are given a bail they could escape or become difficult to re arrest them.
The two suspects are accused together with Bonny Tashobya –the mbarara municipal council speaker who is on bond and Geoffrey Sali 28, a resident of Bukoto in Kampala was convicted after he told court that committed the offence.
The three are expected in court on 7th of March for case mention.
