Rukiga : Authorities at St. Paul’s Secondary School deny reports of exam malpractice

Authorities at St. Paul’s Secondary School Bukinda in Rukiga district have denied reports of examination malpractice. The school was among the exam centres whose results were withheld over malpractice. Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) withheld results of 4,525 candidates across the country.

However, the school’s deputy Head teacher in Charge of discipline Agnes Atuhaire says UNEB unfairly withheld their results ,further blaming the exam body for failing to control the circulation of examinations which led to their leakage.

Meanwhile, Members of Parliament have expressed mixed reactions on the performance of S.4 candidates after the 2017 Uganda Certificate of Education examination results were released yesterday.

Whereas MPs John Muyanja Ssenyonga of Mukono south and Luttamaguzi Ssemakula (Nakaseke south Member of Parliament) expressed joy, MP Hillary Lokwang says IK county has no single secondary school.

Meanwhile, MPs from Buliisa, Kapchorwa, Kasese, Bundibugyo, Bukwo, Kween that were ranked among the worst performing districts are disappointed.

Stephen Mukitale, Evelyn Chemutai and Atkins Katusabe have this to say on the poor performance;
