Mbarara DHO faults National Medical Stores over failure to distribute drugs

Mbarara district Health Officer Peter Ssebutinde has faulted National Medical Stores (NMS) over failure to distribute drugsto government health centers.

Dr Ssebutinde revealed this while addressing journalists at District Health Office , in Kamukuzi where he noted that National Medical Stores noted that NMS is probably overwhelmed by demands as it is the only body that supplies and delivers drugs across the country thus affecting its performance.

He called upon the government to look for an alternative supplier in order to do away with monopoly and ensure better delivery.
