Authorities in Kagongo division, in Ibanda municipality, have today visited traders of Kagongo market following the weekend fire that broke out at around 8am burning down six kiosks to ashes, leaving several other traders crying foul after losing their property.

The leaders who visited the market are; the town clerk for Kagongo division, Lillian Kebita and kagongo division chairperson, Aggrey Mushabe.

Addressing the traders at the market grounds in Kagongo ward Kebita regretted the incident, noting that the market should be manned by the security man power on a daily basis to prevent such incidences and others that may arise including theft.

kagongo division chairperson, Aggrey Mushabe said they should organize a fundraising day for those affected.

However traders have expressed their concern, saying that the incident of fire could have resulted from misunderstandings among traders themselves.
