Results of 2,559 candidates withheld due to Exam malpractice
Results of 2,559 candidates have been withheld due to malpractices pending investigations.
The Ministry of Education has today announced that teachers involved in any form of examination malpractice are to be de-registered.
Education Minister Janet Museveni said that teachers found guilty of examination malpractice will be removed from the teaching fraternity.
UNEB also announced that starting with this year, all national examinations will be escorted by security operatives from UNEB offices until they reach the examination centres. In the past, the examinations were escorted by police from Kampala to various storage stations in the country.
A total of 26 schools located in 14 districts are believed to have engaged in different forms of examination malpractice. They include; Aleptong, Bukomansimbi, Bundibugyo, Bushenyi, Butaleja, Gomba, Iganga, Kabarole, Kagadi, Kaliro, Kamuli and Kasese.
