Shock as 47 year Old Ibanda Woman Hangs Herself

Residents of Nyinendugu village, in Bufunda division, Ibanda Municipality were this morning engulfed with shock after a woman in her 40s committed suicide by hanging with a cloth.

The deceased identified as Edith Kemitasyo, a resident of Kyaruhimbi cell, Soweto ,Kayenje Ward ,Bufunda division, was found by some of residents, hanging on a mango tree.

According to residents, including; her biological son Nyesiga Ambrose, the deceased had a mentally disorder.

Nyinendugu village Local Council one chairperson, Vicent Katuura described the incident as unfortunate, adding that such cases are on the increase in the area.

Police , led by OC CIID Susan Tumugumye, visited the scene and took the body to Rukoho health centre IV for postmortem as investigations to ascertain the actual cause of the death continue.
