Ibanda: 25 Year Old Man Attacked With A Panga by Unknown Thugs

Police in Ibanda is investigating circumstance under which unknown thugs attacked and injured a 25 year old man , leaving him in comma.

The victim, who was this morning found lying in a pool of blood along Ibanda Kyabashambo Kazo road side, has been identified as Naboth Rwamburara, a resident of Bufunda division Ibanda Municipality.

The unknown thugs are said to have used a panga to inflict cuts on different parts of his body.

According to eyewitnesses; Bariyo John and Evans Tukwatanize , Naboth had never been caught or suspected to have involved himself in criminal acts like theft.

Warugaba Deus, Ibanda Municipal Speaker confirmed to our reporter that he got a phone call early at around 06:12am informing him of the incident and he immediately tipped police which rushed to the scene.

The Community Liaisons Officer (CLO), Sgt Mujimba Johnbosco who led police to the scene urged people to avoid moving late in night. The victim was taken to Kagongo hospital for treatment.
