President Museveni Summons NRM Leaders to Rwakitura

President Yoweri Museveni has today (Thursday , 4th January, 2017) summoned NRM party leaders of Ruhaama constituency in Ntungamo district to his country home of Rwakitura , Kiruhura district for an urgent meeting over the area parliamentary by-elections slated for next week, on 11th January 2018.

According to Rogers Mulindwa , the NRM Communications Officer ,close to 100 NRM leaders and members are expected to attend the meeting.

These include the party District Executive Committee members, MPs, area district councilors, LCIII Chairpersons and all contestants in the party primaries among others.

The meeting is also expected to be attended by Ntungamo District NRM Chairperson and First Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni.

Four people are contesting for the Ruhaama county MP seat that fell vacant on 4th November 2017 following the death of Beijukye William Zinkuratiire who succumbed to Hepatitis B.

They are; Kahima Moses Mugabe of the ruling NRM party and three independent candidates; Eng Jackson Kabeikire Mubangizi, Orishaba Vastin and Beinomugisha Penninah Jambo.
