Ibanda councilors want fallen comrade district councilors eulogized

The Ibanda district councilor for elderly Mr. David Rwaje Bigira yesterday moved a motion seeking the adoption of the motion to eulogize fallen comrade district councilors as it is done in parliament.

This was during the district end of year 2017 council sitting chaired by the district deputy speaker, Betty Kwitegyesa.

Bigira noted that death inevitably strikes without giving due notice and that councilors have to be prepared for it.

Bigira who highlighted the importance of the district councilor referred to Articles 5(2) 176,177 and chapter 18 of the constitution of Uganda.

This motion was supported in writing by John Tushemereirwe Kapimpi , who represents the people of Kicuzi as well as Godfrey Kakuru of Nyabuhikye sub-county and numerous other councilors adopted it.
